On March 20, 2016, about 185 volunteers from more than 40 countries participated in a workshop that featured speeches by scholar Andrei Lankov, three North Korean refugees, and leaders of six different NGOs. Justice for North Korea, Transitional Justice Working Group and Teach North Korean Refugees were the main organizers of the conference.
