At TNKR’s second Book Club Discussion, we will be discussing Yeonmi Park’s “In Order to Live.” Yeonmi rocketed to international prominence in late 2014 when she gave an incredible speech at One Young World. She later published her memoir and has spoken around the world.
TNKR has a long history with Yeonmi, starting in mid-2013 when she first joined TNKR as a student, then when she returned in early 2014, eventually becoming the first refugee Ambassador of TNKR. On pages 257-259, and in the acknowledgements, she discusses TNKR without mentioning it by name, and names TNKR co-founders Casey Lartigue and Eunkoo Lee.
Yeonmi signed several copies of her book for TNKR, which winners of TNKR’s monthly book lottery can win.
TNKR Senior Fellow Tony Docan-Morgan will again be leading the discussion. For additional details about the event, discussion questions, reviews of the book, and more on Yeonmi Park see here: TNKR Book Club-2018-02-10-In Order to Live
