TNKR is seeking tutors to help North Korean refugees with learning English.
Join us for the Track 1 Orientation on Saturday July 21 from 2 PM at the TNKR Office (located near Gwangheungchang Station, Line 6). The first 10 applicants who successfully complete orientation and have submitted the required application documents will be invited to the following Matching Session (Sunday July 28 at 2 PM).
* Commitment: Minimum 3 months / twice a month (per refugee) / 90 minutes per session
* Because TNKR has a grant to cover the costs of study sessions at three locations in Seoul, several of the refugees hope to study at TOZ Centers at Sinchon, Jongro, & Gangnam and TNKR Office. But you can study at other places that you and the refugee(s) mutually agree upon.
* ENGLISH in English ONLY!
* Must be living in Korea and able to get to Seoul at least twice a month for tutoring sessions.
* Must be efficient at using Kakao Messenger
We are looking for serious volunteers who are willing to respect the privacy of the refugees and provide to them a safe learning environment.
